This is Andrea, a brilliantly talented and natural wedding photojournalist. Portraits and posed pictures are not her thing, she’s a little bit shy when it comes to directing people.What she loves to do is photograph the details of the wedding, she is a very attention-to-detail type of person and photographer. She also loves being in the room with the bride and bride’s maids as they are getting dress. Her getting ready shots are fantastic and she feels like a real part of the inner circle. |

Andrea and I flew to St. Maartin (St. Martin) to photograph this wedding attended by the Dave Matthew’s Band. When the call first came in for the wedding, I was confused that the bride kept asking what kind of a room we needed. It was only on the second or third phone call that I realized it was actually out of the country. The day before we left, I lost my passport. The airlines let me leave the country and it was a struggle to come back. For a few days, we were tempted to stay and just become beach bartenders.

During that trip to St. Maartin/St. Martin, we ventured to the Dutch side of the island and shared a Heineken. We have so many funny memories from this wedding, it was a blast. I could write a movie screenplay just from this wedding alone.

Wedding photography rates
Andrea typically charges $1,000 for six hour coverage starting several hours before the wedding. Her role is typically to photograph the details of the wedding day, the getting ready photos, the ceremony from an alternate angle, assist the portrait photographer by expediting the posed pictures, and the room and cake setup at the ceremony site. Once the bride and groom are introduced into the reception, Andrea’s job is usually done. A DVD of edited photos are included in her coverage. We can also make these images available online for your guests as well.
